It is clear that the pie contains salmon, peas, sauce and potatoes placed in a microwaveable container, and that there are 10 main stages in its manufacture, from delivery to dispatch. Overall, potatoes are required to go through a six-step process before being added to the pie.
At the first stage of the production of fish pie, potatoes are delivered to a factory up to a month. Next, these potatoes are cleaned, peeled and sliced. The potato peelings are disposed, and the sliced potatoes are then boiled, chilled and stored, waiting for the following process.
The following procedure continues with the delivery of fresh salmon to the factory. When these salmon arrives, lemon juice and salt are added, and the fish has to be passed into a steam oven within 12 hours or less. Next, the cooked salmon’s skin and bones are removed and thrown away by factory workers, and the salmon is then inspected. After inspection, prepared peas, sauce and potato slices are added. The resulting fish pies are wrapped, frozen and finally stored or dispatched.
